As a child of the Apollo era, it had to be done

Beautiful looking eyepiece Jeremy, but I'd be scared to handle it😱..

I must say, those foam thumb gaps in the box look a bit of a tight fit..will you be fitting a handle :rolleyes2:?

Enjoy!!👍

If you want a small, aluminium case as a grab and go EP and accessory holder, Asda sold me one for BBQ accessories for £13. Take out the spatulas, etc.

Then add the bits you need:

and you have a small lightweight case:

I actually laughed out loud when I saw this, awesome 😂

brilliant bit of economy buying, easy enough to add some pluck foam too if you need it. Would chuck in a couple silica gel sachets tho to keep those little tendrils that like optical glass away 😉

Not the post person, but me taking a drive to collect.

A nice original Vixen GP mount, weights, pillar and a bonus Astro Systems 6” f6 scope as well.

All is good for Lunar going forwards as well as planet season.

Thank you, yes it is very nice condition.

The lid looks like one from a coffee catering tin perhaps, made me chuckle, but it does the job,
perhap @Peter Drew will chime in at some point, I was wondering if Astro Systems fitted this, they maybe drank a lot of coffee?

We had them specially made to fit 7" diameter seamless aluminium tubing.    🙂

Vintage Vixen heaven in matching hammered green livery. Lovely stuff,  should be a joy to use 🙂

Just been getting SP and 102m frac fettled and all ready for our Scottish Islands trip in September..just hope the weather up there improves, it's been atrocious for weeks apparently 🤦🤞..

Enjoy your new toy!

This came yesterday, my first TV eyepiece.

This one was on my wishlist for a long time, as I observe mostly with SCT's, finally pushed the button.

As it happend there was a 16mm Nagler on sale second hand, so bought that too, this will arrive today.

So a few more to go to complete the line-up 😅

I like your style Miguel: diving in with the biggest Nagler first 👍🏻

First major astro purchase for a while… thought I’d try this as my “grab and go” mount 😃

Not sure it would replace the ScopeTech Zero, but probably supplement it 🤔

First impression… it’s super light compared to the AZ100… almost effortless to pickup by comparison 👍

Excellent. Interested to hear how you find it compared to the ScopeTech (especially without the X-Y movey things 😊)

Indeed, and I will advise. It's double the weight (approximately) of the ScopeTech, but still significantly lighter than the AZ100 (which is a rock solid beast, mounted on the iOptron Tri-Pier). I'm really looking to see if I will get on without the "you know what" (sorry @Stu) things , and whether I might even pop the FS-60CB on in a "grab and go" dual scope setup 🤔🤞
