Not forgetting a bit of scrap plywood for the reactor core and we have fission. Not quite finished but it works!

What are you going to use to contain the fusion, it’s live!

Not always about the high end here…I’ve sold off previously owned more premium end zooms as didn’t get enough use (preferring single eyepieces) but have recently missed having one in my kit bag for convenient grab and go - particularly on holiday. This one delivered direct to the holiday cottage in Scotland courtesy of Amazon. It’s no Baader MK IV but it’s light and compact, ideal for grab and go with the Heritage 150 - surprisingly good and even better value 👍

I don't know where these are made but they're remarkably good for what they cost. Orion market the same zoom. There may be others.

My third Morpheus arrived this morning, courtesy of FLO.  (edit - The 6.5mm)

Almost ready to start plucking the foam on my new eyepiece case now ...  Or, maybe I'll wait for just one more!

Does it ever stop? 😆

No need to  apologise for buying the SVbony ... its great value , i briefly used an 8-24 and although the Baader is considered to be  "king of the Zooms" the SVbony range of Zooms are great . Hmmm , Now i'm interested in buying another one !!!!!! :)

Very nice. Morpheus is something that I have had in and out of website checkouts for sometime. I always talk myself out of a purchase. In short I can never justify cost of a further eyepiece. Do you have different targets in mind when you're pursuing a set of eyepieces like this?

Its a great EP. I bought mine to use as a general EP and no regret buying it.

That looks good didn't realise they sold them.  How are the fans mounted to the plate and how does the whole thing mount to the scope?  Is there any vibration dampening?  Do the fans pull air down the tube or pus air up the tube?

The fans are screwed onto the plate, the plate is held on by the collimation screws.

There's no vibrations as the fans don't touch the scope, and the fans pull air down the tube.

ha! that's what I thought when I first got a 200p.. then the 300p arrived!

from left to right - 150p, 200p, 300p.

would save a lot of space if they'd store inside each other like russian dolls! 😀

From Russia with Love...

@alacant is full of praise for these lenses and after seeing some battered copies on ebay for months this one popped up which looks like it might be new old stock.  It's a beauty and looks very nice with a matt black finish and the optics are spotless with an integrated sliding lens hood.  The focus is pretty stiff, but that will probably be a plus overall.

Only downside is that every time I take the lens cap off, it starts to play the Hymn to Red October.  All in all I think £45 was a very good price.

A plethora of stuff!

APM 2" Herschel wedge, Oklop padded bag for "small telescopes"(it's actually massive and a real bargain for 60eur) and an enormous tarp garden refuse sack as an ad hoc scope cover in case of rain whilst I'm at an astro event this Saturday. Believe it or not there's an EQ6 tripod, skytee and 4" doublet under there!
