If it's a smart TV it should be pre installed in your apps. Signs in just the same on it. If it isn't a smart TV then ain't got a clue squire!! ?

It wont be the postman who brings it, but by Sunday i will have Netflix (the all inclusive deal for 10.99 a month). Im sick of friends talking about all the great stuff that ive never seen.

TV is rubbish (all 300+ channels).

Great for tv shows and some movies. I have it on now. Horrid Henry keeps the kids entertained and settled before bed! We have Virgin cable here. I only wanted the broadband but they gave us the TV package for £1 extra. Nothing but rubbish nowadays. Bring back MacGyver and the A-Team! All we ever have on is either Netflix or YouTube on the TV.

Re; your other post about getting it on the TV. You need a smart TV hooked up to the internet and the Netflix app installed or like I used to, Netflix on the laptop and an HDMI cable to the telly. Was a lot better a few years ago. Had a paid VPN service and could change my IP to a US address and get all their content. Alas, they copped on to that one...

If you do have a smart TV but somehow can't get the app you should be able to cast from your phone to TV. The icon should appear on your phone in the top corner like below and give you the option to play through the TV assuming all are on the same Wi-Fi network.

It's become a standing joke now that if people say in conversation "Did you see..." that I'm almost certainly going to answer "No" :)

My OH bought herself the Amazon firestick today for the same reason, tv can be rubbish. She can get her Netflix on it, watch her box sets etc :)

Just arrived to me today courtesy of @kerrylewis a nice little Opticstar Ar80s to go with the 90mm I recently acquired. Happy little family now!! ? _20180831_191947.thumb.JPG.97f9f1c198ffa34f3aca0090baf4e0c3.JPGHopefully one for the imaging and one for the guiding when I eventually get all the required gubbins.

Breeding like rabbits I see! Way to go Opticstar! ;)

More is less it seems these days. Back when (and showing my age now I know!) we only had two channels to choose from seems like we had it better. Progress ‘eh! ;)

Not the Postie, but I have just collected a new to me Solarquest mount from a seller in Bristol.

I was amazed as it rotated and pointed towards the sun despite quite a lot of cloud.

Really looking forward to using this mount and will post some images when I get home.

Roll on a fortnight of clouds I expect.

Edit: Unexpectedly the clouds cleared so I've had a chance to play and am very impressed.

It's been an interesting day in the post today - no astro stuff unfortunately, but such an interesting collection of items I feel the need to share regardless - if you read my other postings elsewhere on the forum you might be able to guess the projects these are for:

A 2 tonne manual winch

10 litres of Vingar

12 x 5mm D Rings

A bicycle maintenance stand

10Kg Bicarbonate of soda

Oh, and my bro's made me a land anchor!

Hi Ade. May i ask a question about your new arrival?.

In this photo, i have circled part of the mount in red. It appears to be touching the mount and from the looks of it, allows the scope to point no higher up.

Can i assume that the mount is calibrated for Northern hemisphere solar observing during the height of summer (maximum Dec for the Sun in this part of the world)?

Let's guess... a vinegar and sodium bicarbonate powered rocket bike!

As I don't recall any postings about those "specialist" dungeons, I have to assume you are correct.

If you have a blu-ray player or set top box or games console most allow you view Netflix in case you don’t have a smart TV.

I have all of the above: smart tv, XBOXONE console, smartphone, BR, set top box.

I can get Netflix on all of them now.

Hell, i was on a bus today and connected to the free wifi and watched a movie " The Assassin's Bodyguard"

Just did a quick count and I have eight devices that receive Netflix.   ?

Handy having knobs rather than the Allen bolts, makes changing mount much easier. Are they a John special?

Brilliant, thanks John. I've been meaning to do something like this for a while as I do change between Ercole and GP mounts every now and then. This will make it much easier.
