Thanks, too good a price to not give it a try. Good to know it's been very useful too.

Nice find 👍

Getting an adjustable observing chair transformed my sessions, whether sitting at the dob or using the refractors 😃

Early start from the postie - and an exciting day for me with another (and possibly final for this year) two items:

Can now mount my PoleMaster onto the EQ6-R:

and, thanks to a darn fine deal from @Mark1489, I've a new camera as well:

these things really are bigger than you expect (and it came with the PSU for the Thermo Electric Cooling) :D

Glad it’s there in one piece! Looking forward to the images you take using the camera!

Is it a finder? Is it an auxiliary telescope? Is it a monocular? Is it an RFT? NO, it's superman!

I needed to dive deep into my bits box for some tube rings to create room between the finder EP and the scope EP, but now I think it looks awesome!

Very nice. Resisting at the moment from buying one too.

Just quickly tried it on my EQ5 Deluxe mount, and I really do like it.  Funny thing is, when ever I buy a camera or new lens the weather goes to pot.  This beauty gets delivered and it's now raining and very cloudy, but I can't wait to try it out on a clear night.  I just have to find the right Finder for it now.

6x30 RACI finder and a laser pointer bracket to replace the stock tall bracket. Replace the screws in the laser pointer bracket with nylon ones. You can also remove the centre section to make a really low profile bracket.

Quite rare for me to stumble across a bargain. £43 from amazon warehouse. A couple of very small marks on the side. No doubt i shall shortly add my own when clambering around in the dark.

Nice find Dean, a genuine bargain!👏👍.

Just a tip, something that I've found useful.. try turning the chair around "back to front", (see photos below) and then sit astride the chair, like on horseback.

I find this helpful and more comfortable sometimes, particularly when viewing tight doubles, or teasing out faint details on planets etc..why? Because it's important to be comfortable in order to get the best out of your scope, and by sitting this way, you feel secure, you can lean into the chair back and hold onto it for support, rather than being tempted to grab the tripod and quite possibly knock it, cause vibrations and even lose your target from the field of view!

Try it, you might be pleasantly surprised!☺️

Dave

Postie arrived at lunchtime and dropped off this lovely 9mm Morpheus..thanks to Steve (@saganite)😉.

This will go nicely with my 17.5mm Morph and 12mm Nagler T2. These will all work really well with my Baader 2.5x barlow to give me a mag range on the Tak between 33x up to 260x, plenty for most nights. I might add later one more high power ep such as a 6.5mm Morpheus or a Vixen HR 3.4mm for special nights😉.

I also have a Celestron Axiom 23mm en route to join my 31mm "beast", to give me a set of 76 deg -82 deg eps👍.

I'll post a picture of the full set when the 23mm arrives..

Not necessarily what the postman brought, more like ‘what Bernard brought’.

As the CFO said upon viewing my prized Mesu e200 mount, ‘it’s looks like a few boxes of scrap metal’ 😂

Its good to finally have it come home though.

It’ll make a very interesting comparison with the panoptic 35. The Nagler has smaller focal length hence greater magnification, but wider FoV. I’ll do the comparison and report back in due course.

Sadly thereafter the Pan 35 will likely be released to help fund this.
