I got a NASA APOD 14/2/2022 for my Heart Nebula.

A few days ago I was pleasantly surprised to hear that my image had been selected for today's NASA APOD, 14/02/2022

Its an image that I actually submitted almost two years ago. At the time I had assumed the image would not be selected as another image of the heart nebula had been used only a month or so earlier. Am quite chuffed especially as its the only image I have ever submitted. 

Below is my original posting of the image on SGL way back in January 2020. Rotated for APOD to show the heart shape better.

Congratulations Adam, that is amazing! Great image of course, and done with a SW 130PDS, which should make you extra proud. A great example for many - it is not the size but the way you swing it that matters😁. I had no idea that they could be sitting on images for two years. I think I sent them something half a year ago so a miracle may still happen.

Congratulations, a perfect image for Valentines.

It certainly is a superb image and it sticks in my memory from when you posted it on SGL originally.
As soon as I saw the image I recognised it but amazed that was 2 years ago I saw it on SGL, seems like yesterday (well almost 🙂 ).

When looking at the full res image I noticed this object, can anyone tell what it is? I've looked at some other images and I've found it on a few.

And taken with a 130pds no less. Bravo! I just love it when people make great images with modest gear. Just goes to show that at least half this game is down to the skill of the operator.
