  1. That's a lovely widefield image, great to see M53 and NGC5053 in the same image.
  2. Well done Paul, and so you should be, they are great images πŸ‘
  3. That's really nice πŸ‘
  4. Thanks for the link, I'll have a go at finding some of them.
  5. I like that second image, it is a really different take on the Rosette πŸ‘
  6. Sounds like a great session. I'm glad you got the scope up and running after all the problems you had.
  7. That's a cracking image, nice one.
  8. From what I've seen and read here I must admit that if I had a spare Β£500 I'd be hitting the buy button right now. I think with this rubbish weather I'd have got way more sessions in if I had a Seestar.
  9. Whilst I understand people want to jump straight in with goto I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed my time learning the sky, using binoculars and then star hopping with an 8" newt. For me it isn't just looking through an eyepiece or taking an image, it is seeing the whole beauty of the sky. Just looking up and seeing the constellations and greeting them like old friends as the seasons change, giving an 'ooh' as the odd sporadic meteor shoots overhead, enjoying the different colours of stars with the naked eye and thinking how amazing and magical it must have seemed to our ancestors all those thousands of years ago.
  10. Hi and welcome Jessica. Nice images πŸ‘
  11. Nice, I think you're right there definitely seems to be a hint of the tidal tail.
  12. Very nice. 106 galaxies, I'll take your word for it πŸ˜‰

    Super image πŸ‘
  14. One of my favourite sights, the moon through a layer of cirrocumulus.
  15. Nice images, the second one is great, it feels 3D, like you are flying over the moon.
  16. That's a super image, the position of the galaxies really help make the image great.
  17. The full resolution image is great πŸ‘
  18. Hard choice, much as I love my 4" SW Esprit and my 8" Newtonian, I've always regretted selling my ZS66 so I I'd probably keep my ZS61.
  19. I wish I'd have thought of that one Rob πŸ˜„
  20. Eight for me at the moment. WO ZG61 SW ST80 Vixen A80MF SW Evostar 90 SW Esprit 100 ED Bresser Messier MC-127 SW Evostar 150 OO Europa 200
