The FedEx man brought me a box full of boxes...

and inside one of them is..

An ST102!  I thought I'd give wide-field a go. The other boxes contain an AZ5 and tripod, plus bits and bobs. I took it outside for a brief first light, but it's too cold out there for fidgeting with new equipment!

Mount is AZ5 not EQ5

Baader T2 Zeiss BBHS prism + 2” T2 clicklock, and StellaLyra 3mm LER (55deg) EP. Not pictured is Baader Sky surfer RDF that arrived today too. All for the Starfield 102.

Just waiting on the StellaLyra 30mm UFF to round off this latest period of self-indulgent and slightly reckless spending 😬😂

This calendar came unexpectedly from a friend and colleague in Japan who has been in USA several times to meet the astronauts and to send experiments to ISS. I was told that my last ISS image I posted had her experiment on it 😲!

Postie has been and delivered a Baader t2 to 1.25" EP short adapter for my Ha Scope and
a set of Astro Essential 1.25" parfocalising rings.

All fro FLO and swiftly sent and delivered.

Of course its clouded out to see what difference this makes to easy focus for the Ha Scopes Helical focuser.

EDIT: the cloud-gods, have of course, exacted payment. I'll post my thoughts in the ongoing eyepiece thread...when I've used it!

Some basic stuff, but good to keep me imaging and guiding throughout the night:

- vixen clamp for SWSA 2i

- vixen dovetail bar

- dummy battery for my canon 550D

- hex bolts

Now just to get familiar with NINA control.

Looking forward forward to your report on the 10mm. I thought about that one myself but I have a 9mm BGO. There are just so many reports from top DSO observers on how good the 10mm is though….

Excellent eyepieces especially for the money, if you haven't already got one the BCO18mm is a cracker.

Wow, you really know how to please a refractor, all that at fine kit in one delivery is almost too much for any refractor 😂

Mine has been a very busy postman, bringing me an AZGTiX mount to realise my long held ambition to run the widefield ST80 alongside my Mak 127, a Berlebach Charon observing chair and (incredibly excitingly!) a pair of Canon 10x42 IS Binoculars.
All of which pretty much guaranteed a cloudy weekend, sorry about that guys. Fingers crossed for a window tomorrow night however…
