Been using my Mewlon 210 for planets the last few months. I find the Ethos EPs pair well. Upshot is I needed some 2-inch filters, courtesy of FLO.

It actually arrived with a handwritten card to thank me for my order. It may sound cheesy but I like that....👍

It’s a nice touch

I have a number of those bands and the 5v to 12v lead that works very well indeed.

So the band works ok via a USB C connection?

Yes they do ok

I used a Telrad heater and ep band on my dob with these leads on a 10,000 rated power pack via usb

I'll probably be using the 12v jack anyway, but it's good to have a choice.

A nice 32mm Plossl for my C8, as recommended by @bomberbaz (thank you) to help me with my nemesis, the Crescent nebula.

My 32mm plossl is still one of my favourite eyepieces.  A great choice.

Arrived from @FLO today: a 2.25x Barlow for my Baader Hyperion zoom. With this, I can have a huge range of mags with just one EP (201 to 30x).

It's absolutely tiny: the largest part is a T2 adaptor, which I won't need. It fits to the zoom using its filter thread rather than a screw and thus will fit all my other 1.25" EPs too.

The zoom with the Barlow:

Always fancied one of these. Laser cutter, engraver . Setup in conservatory for now till I get fume extraction and make a proper protection cover.

I just set up and engraved,so it needs tweaking with the setting to improve quality. It can engrave most stuff Inc metal, glass, mirror* and cut up to 6mm ply.

After being out of play for a while due to life’s circumstances, I’ve just picked up an interesting addition, a starbase 80 so wish me luck. First impressions are very good. Nice to be back 😁

Welcome back. Thought we’d not heard from you in a while. There must have been a slump in eyepiece sales 🙂

New refractor looks super.

That looks amazing. Any chance of a review and where you got it etc.? ( Price ? ) Also, would it engrave slate?

on sale at amazon at present - 290 squid (appy the voucher)

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09VBC1XP1

i think it will do slate. I've got a bit - but I'm honing settings and stuff just now on wood till i know what im doing.

this wee girl has a great review:

its change a little bit since then - mine has 2 screws to adjust height, and no steel plate. but otherwise seems the same.

already getting better results.

The wee one was done with double pass, second at 90 degrees, and much better.

just an update to say - though I like it I don't think it lives up to reviews. It can only cut 2mm plywood at 100mm/m. And engraving like above is at 1000mm/m - so the little pic took 2 hours. The bigger one, nearly 4.

I think reading up that is par for the course with 5w machines, but I was going on the ad hype rather than reality. So - its amazon, so this one is going back for a creality 10w one. twice as fast plus a bit as far as I can tell. And 400 quid on amazon, so your 100 quid is getting you twice the power.
