I also have to thank Christian then.  Im not sure if he’s a member here.  But he send me this from Germany.  Also very thankful for packing.

he sold me a very nice 120ed. It has been reunited with its smaller brother last week, but didn’t take long to decide to say goodbye to the junior😑.

It was packed in bubblewrap and very thin cardboard, but it came unharmed.  Thanks for this DHL-guy🙏🏼

Those Equinox ED's are real gems! i would love to hear about first light.

I have an Equinox 120 (and an 80). I know there are high-end better performing scopes, but to my eyes and feel these are such elegant creatures. I have nothing but love for the Equinox line.

They are indeed.   Loved this scope even before i ever looked through a scope.   It attracted me and my eyes.   And im not really sure but that 100ed Is not really a bad rated scope at all.  Since the day i bought that 100ed, my 80 and 71 mm were hybernating.   So sold them.   And after some days with this 120 im sure the 100 would get the same use, non.  Funny thing is the guy who bought my small zenithstar will be the owner of the 100ed next week🙂.

you’re right about the lovely design Of the equinox.  A certain UK based shop offers something similar with a slightly red in the mix😅

They are really beautiful i think.   And i cant tell beautiful story’s, cant even describe the scope due to the lack of experience, but it didn’t disappoint at all.  There was chance the 100 would be better in detail.  But i cant tell yet, so im already in love with this one.  The first scope i think i will keep forever.

Just a small cheap & cheerful e/p tray via AstroBoot so that I can have two 1.25" eyepieces (the other two holes are for 0.965") close to hand and attaches to the bottom of the centre column of my Manfrotto 055PROB via the supplied 3/8" adaptor plate screw/bolt through one of two (10mm) holes located at the corners.

Hi Mick

It's a great camera, I managed to image Mars on Friday night/Saturday morning, with the best captures I've had yet, also took some captures of the moon around Sinus Iridum my favourite part of the moon last night and yet to process them so hopefully something good. Will try to get some captures of the Sun this morning with my solar filters in place of course. Hopefully your having clear skies now 😁

New sleeping bag for SD115S. The dog seems to have retired from security duties, hence the alternative.

I found my 9x50 finder a bit heavy for the Skymax 102. A dainty 6x30 RACI should do the job...

Yes ideal for a little mak.

You can get one of ths these brackets from Amazon for a much lower profile bracket or even mod the bracket by taking out the middle bit for a really low profile bracket.

Replace the stock thimbscrews with nylon M5 x 12mm thumb screws.

Couple of eps to add to the collection. thanks very much  @Robindonne for the 3.8 Eudiascopic- it looks really nice. Didn’t realise it had a built in barlow- looks great quality. It’s branded LichtenKnecker Optics, a Belgian optics company, but the letters  BAPL stamped into the barrel i think indicate it’s a rebranded Baader Planetarium ep. Can’t wait to try it out on Mars next ckear night 🤞
