35mm film canisters, desiccant packs & M6 countersink bolts. Canisters fit snug into 1.25 adapters & make cheap desiccant caps.

I get my canisters from the local instant print shop. Collected a dozen the other week to make dessicant containers. Better than paying a fortune for a branded astro dessicant canisters. Get my little dessicant packs from amazon.

Just got this delivered, the first parcel of the day:

Nothing to do with astro photography at all, not tempted to go there. It's not even astro modified... Just a few local shots... Anyone know of a good guide for beginners like me, other than the one in the photography part of the forum here? It was second hand so no manual included, even though in as new condition.

Nice, I guessed that you would go for that camera....

The PDF version of the manual is on the Canon website along with support software like EOS utility and DPP.  Lots of youtube guides around but feel free to ask any questions in the Lounge Photo section.

TeleVue adapter to turn the 55mm plossl into a 67mm one. Will mean my F/3.3 Epsilon will be effectively operating at under F/1.5 to maximise brightness of DSOs with night vision. And an ultra narrow 3nm Chroma ha filter to use with 2” NV eyepieces and bring out more detail in nebulae. Great that FLO is stocking these items now.

My second packages arrived and I took a few photo's in the almost darkness:

Double boxed, but could have done with a bit more packing.

Looking good, despite the poor photo's. Lovely tiny thing too, much more compact than the Skywatcher ED80, wish I had got this in the first place. I also do not really understasnd the report that came with it, other than to think that 0.956 strehl is half decent. (  Even though there are better examples out there, I am happy.  ) I also like the little diagonal that I got in the same package, it goes well. Time to sell the ED80 before the local lockdown kicks in?

I should go out and give it a try out, but in the short time I took to take the photo's, I got bitten about half a dozen times! Are mossies a legit reason/excuse to not observe? :rolleyes2:

( Course, the glass of wine; glass of Woods rum and a couple of episodes of Battlestar Galactica have nothing to do with it... )

This lovely item was delivered yesterday, so the clouds rolled in last night of course, but been perusing various posts on here and websites about learning to use it, I've got a copy of making every photon count on order to compliment it, looking forward to some nice images of Dso's and nightscapes with it, well hopefully. Clear skies

Please can you provide supplier details?
Bottom caps are easy to find, but eye end ones can be tricky and come in a range of sizes

This is the shop I ordered from.  Of course through Ali.  Im not sure but I remember i first put them all in my shopping cart. When you select the right cap, dont do a “buy and pay”, but put them first all in your cart, and order all selected sizes at once from your cart.  That way you pay just once for shipping, instead of shippingcosts with each separate capsize.

For example: these 14 caps were £16,- incl shipping.
