August 21, 2017: First eclipse results

Here are a few quick crops of my eclipse results. The weather was perfect, but the return journey chaos. Still, I bagged some decent data.

I should be able to get a full animation from first to last contact, but that will require a lot more work

I did get one planet (Mars or Mercury, I'll have to check), but Venus and Jupiter were much too far away

Great shots!

I was wondering what I'd try to image during a total eclipse, and after seeing this and other images I know now it would be a HDR corona.

Do you have enough data to attempt a corona time-lapse? Perhaps some movement close to the disc would be visible over these few minutes.
