  1. Excellent captured and processing. The Moons have come out really well, what was the method used to expose the Moons. Some sort of layering technique?
  2. Super show, very nicely captured. Looks like it was visible down in the South as well of the UK as well
  3. 22mm Nagler, fantastic sharp contrasty views in my C9.25. Other than that my TS Optics 7.2-21.5mm Zoom gets a lot of use, purely for convenience and mostly when Solar viewing/imaging
  4. Should have added Lunt wedge and asi174mm camera were used as well. (told i was out of practice 🙂 )
  5. Seems to have been virtually permanent cloud this year. Manged to get a decent look at the naked eye AR currently crossing the Sun. Fairly reasonable conditions, considering the altitude of the Sun when imaged. Didn't bother with the C9.25, just the Evostar 120mm due to the altitude. Been so long since the last session, i felt like a beginner again 🙂 60 second SER, stacking 20% in A/S3, sharpened in REG6. Mono and false colour for aesthetic reasons.
  6. Well done to everyone who flagged it up 👏 relief nobody was ripped off.
  7. Just had the 1st Solar session of the year 💩 AR 3590, is huge easily visible with eclipse glasses. well worth a look. large spot and clear skies, now there is a rare phenomena 🙂
  8. Managed to get home in time from work, to set up and quickly capture this event in bright blue skies. Not great conditions, but pleased to be able to see and image the event. 1st session of the year at last, a quick process this morning Usual set up, C9.25, asi224mc, X1.2 Barlow
  9. It was pretty tricky with the position and lack of contrast, mostly due to the very bright conditions i think. Just giving them a quick look now
  10. I can now see Io very close to limb, on the live Firecapture screen 👍
  11. Clear blue skies, managed to 60 sec runs as soon as I got in from work. Not sure I will be able see much , that close to the limb
  12. All sounds a bit too good to be true, clear skies, no jetstream, an interesting astronomical event at the same 😀 😃 🙂 Thanks for the heads up, fingers crossed 🤞
  13. There was an interesting review and thread on Cloudy Nights just before Christmas Seestar S50 - first light and review - Smart Telescopes - Cloudy Nights What the Seestar can do does look pretty impressive to me, especially for the price. My C9.25 though is the perfect "all rounder" for me, great planetary/Lunar imager and viewer. Pretty good white light scope with the right filter. Very pleasing all round visual scope as well.
