Trust me mate putting 40 standard rock pegs into the compacted shale with a lump hammer on some hardstandings is the worst bit of a holiday especially on a hot day ;)

Why does it say "Requires a 13mm drill adaptor?" Do you need a drill to put them in? Seems a bit extreme.

Yep, battery drill and 13mm socket

I can bring some spares if anyone needs some (let me know or I won't bring). I have just bought some screw in ones so could even sell a few of mine for 50p each or something?

The site is in an old slate quarry and the ground is really tough - first time I camped there (years ago) I bent every peg in my pack. This is what I use now for awnings and tents - as well as a solid metal hammer and strong peg extractor.

Do in need a special connection for the power (transformer) or something ? Or is the standard 3 pin sufficient?

You need a cable as used for caravan with exterior plug, something like this, various different versions
