I used your old heritage 130mm dob (real scope) to show about 15 people from my work a fine view of Venus this lunchtime. It is a fine crescent at the moment.

I have just got some thumb screws for my polar scope (EQ5) and have quite a few left if anyone wants some may fit other polar scopes (M3).

Whilst Mark is going for the Sceintific approach, I had an idea. The flower covered tent has got to be replaced (mostly because my delicate sensibilities can't take the stick from you lot). So, I buy a extreme tent such as one might take to the Arctic, then the requisite extreme conditions will fail to materialise. A bit like the, new scope equals cloud rule, only working in our favour! Clever!
