Hi Just wondering if anyone knows whether any of the Skywatcher/ Celestron or any other Polar scope will fit the vixen Polarie sky tracker? as i really don't want to be paying close to £300 for the Vixen one 😮 thanks

Hi, Yes scope is as far forward as it can be but still back heavy, hence the need for counterweight for front end 🙂

Hi Vlaiv I guide using qhy mini guide scope and the ZWO120 mini, The red dovetail bar in the picture above is what is attached to the RC6 and what i would be looking to attach the counterweight to, I do like the look of the one you linked to though, FLO have one similar but not in stock ☹️

Do you have a laptop that has wifi? that you could try it on

there is a sd card in the Asiair pro which contains all necessary files and operating system, you need to make a backup of that card (well you don't need to but better if you do ) if the card becomes corrupted which does happen you wont be able to use the pro. i belive it is a bit of a pain getting one from ZWO

thats a strange one ?? have you made sure airplane mode is off? Have you updated the Asiair pro app on your phone to the latest version since you got it ? and don't forget to make a backup of the Air pro OS as well

you save any images you take on that usb drive, plug it into the usb3 slot on the Air Pro

According to Asi you need Android 6.0 and above

Just thinking aloud here 😁 because i know i am going to have to attempt collimation at some point on the RC6 that i have (not looking forward to it going of other responses about it 🤔 ) Is this not something that could be demonstrated in the form of a collimation lesson at one of the SGL star parties when they are back ON? 😀

While playing around with My Atik 314L+ trying to sort out the back focus distance and the focussing i eventually managed to grab this my 1st image with the Atik Not winning any awards with it but i'm happy i managed to finally have a result with the camera.

Well i'm making some progress, had another go at fiddling about with the spacing, i also used the big bright moon to play around with the focus and ended up with this my 1st image with the Atik 314L+ Still got a way to go in figuring all this out and what the best settings are for the Atik

Thank you for this information, i will give it a go, i am not currently using a reducer.

I'm going to give this another go tonight, i know the moons up and about but that should give me a target big and bright enough to see and try focus on

Did you attach an extra Vixen-type Dovetail bar to the top of the tube? and then attach to that

Could i just ask, have you piggy backed any smaller scope on your RC6
