She is a fine one, sporting the new Green Sky-Watcher identity of Logo and Dovetail.

Whats better the box label was proven wrong for 30 seconds, grabbed a very swift white light.
Man o man, that ST80 is now retired until guide-scope duty calls.

Congratulations to the very nice new scope!

The review from 2004 showed how this 80ED revolutionized availability of ED apos to amateur astronomers.

Thank you, indeed it is and will be.
My previous ED100 was rather special too, so expecting good things from the smaller cousin.

Will look good with some Televue glass ... ?

Indeed it does, green and black to match the scope,

not sure what it will look like with the orange and black AVX mount though.....clash, clash, clash.

I will only use it in the dark so no one notices ?

As I have said many times before, the SW Evostar ED80 is a cracking scope for the money and I still use mine all the time and it is now my solar telescope that I use with my Herschel Wedge.  I have also had some cracking views of the moon with this scope and it is super at wide-field views of the Cygnus area.   It is 90% of the FSQ85 for 10% of the cost.  If it had a failing it is in the focuser, but there are many videos about how to fix that.
