Satellite images show we've been in the clearish area most of the week, been out three times tonight with the binocs - though visibility has deteriorated as the mist increases.

It's nice down south, just done 6 hours O111, humidity is getting a bit high now and nice thick frost on everything

Yep, lovely clear skies here too. Just had a nice little club session, frosty scopes at the end, just as it should be. Toes numb, but stars bright

Looks to be a brief clear spell forecast in East Yorkshire tonight. Forecast will probably change by then though.

This cloud that has been present all week is now shifting to the north, so you would think it would be clear skies in the East to-night,but that is very doubtful, as its now pouring in from the East.

Lancashire = up  north??  Lancashire  is the deep south!     The last clear night we has was the 10th December!

I'll be out later but me and my wife had planned a romantic meal. 100% though, she'll be asleep by 10, just means a late one but forecast is good all night. Think a late night is coming.

Wow, quite a few posts on this topic! I think SGL really stands for Sky Gazer's Lounge.

There are some stars visible tonight in North Yorkshire but I've been hit by a bug so it will be a big effort to set up tonight. Next couple of nights look like they might be half decent though.....?
