Hello, and welcome to this great friendly and open Astro site.
  2. Gerr, That’s a very nice image, quite a substantial jump in drawing out the detail, the core also looks less dominant in comparison to the first iteration. Justifies the hard work you put in getting the data in the first place. 👍
  3. I've not been on this thread for such a looooong time, I forgot all about it to be honest. The above comment just tickled me.☺️
  4. One thing to say about those is simply ‘stunning’
  5. Very nice indeed, You have every right to be chuffed with it, you worked hard to get that data. I get the feeling there is still more data to pull out of the image.
  6. What equipment did you use to capture your data? Mount/scope/ camera/ Number of frames, exposure times etc, etc.👍 It gives others an idea of how you have achieved what you have and maybe learn from that and/or give you any pointers they may have. Trial and error is great it gets you going around all the processing possibilities in your software and seeing what works, the trick is remember what you did😄 Tim
  7. Very well processed, it has a lovely visual depth to it. Tim
  8. Trevor, Very nice image, great little performer that ED72, Metcheck says you might have a chance for more images on Saturday. I've got a chance as well for a few hours on Saturday (hopefully), I'll be out with the same kit as yourself but I'll also be using my 8" Newtonian for guiding and then switch over from the ED72 to the 8" for more imaging, fingers crossed🤞 good luck, I hope does clear up for you.
  9. I've had another go at these, about the best I can get out of them I think, without pulling what hair I have left out.😅
  10. Hiya Trevor, there used to be a site that sold many small parts / odds and ends for various scopes maybe worth having a look. They were called AstroBoot, I don't know if they are still going but worth a look. HTHs Tim
  11. I've had go to try and bring more detail out using RS6 but to no avail, it seems me and RG6 don't get on. I really must learn to use this software going forward. I have placed some of my attempts into my gallery, rather over processed and quite red.
  12. Thanks for the likes much appreciated👍
  13. Very nice images, just out of interest, what focal length were you shooting at and what scope did you use? I found out about the firecapture auto planet ROI centering feature about a week before Xmas when I was thinking about getting back to doing some planetary imaging which I have not done for a long, long time. the software is great and certainly moved on a bit since I last used something like this .
