After an attempt to capture the Rosette Nebula with a OSC camera reminded me of just how heavy the light pollution is when imaging from the heart of the city, I hope this delivery from the postman today will offer some help...

Every now and then the postman and fate coincide, allowing newly delivered equipment to be tried out the same day it arrives.  All I can say about the L-Extreme is wow!  Just, wow!  This was the first 5 minute sub-frame of the Rosette Nebula through my C8 with Hyperstar:

Finally got round to unpacking the boxes. Unfortunately we are getting some building work done at the moment, so I could not set it all up. Full pictures will be shown in the AZ100 dedicated site.

Wowzer, my dream set up, wonderful.
Please let us know how it goes once you are builder free.
Something in common, we have notable building works started, in moving all the packing boxes,
I managed to cocoon the scopes to no longer allow access, very poor plan on my part indeed.

Could be a while ever first light Alan. Weather forecast is grim for the next week. Only to be expected I suppose.

Today the postman brought a little wide-field ST80 mate for the 127 Mak.

That’s it I definitely don’t need any more gear now...

unless I upgrade to an EQ mount that takes both scopes of course, then, I could buy a wedge to the AZ GTi for photography, & then...

This is never going to end is it?

Try meesing about in the world of 1:6 scale tanks sometime. Would have saved a bit buying a Takahashi TOA-130NFB instead of this Tiger build.. 🙀🙀🙀

There's no handle that I can see on this... unless it's internal 🤣

That is impressive though 👍

Well they definitely go together well... use mine together all the time (the binoculars are optional)👍

It’s already too heavy to lift. 🙀  When finished will need a hydraulic lift table to lift it up to work on it and ramps to load it onto the table. About 170kg when finished. 🙀

@HollyHound Oh wow, that's fantastic!

I have to do that...there's SO much additional spending potential there I don't even know where to begin!

I need to stop looking at all these potential toys and remind myself, that there's no good weather forecast for the next week anyway... need to carry on painting..😂

That’s great. I sometimes help my mate with his hetzer and Sherman priest. Get it finished 👍

Two more eyepieces to add to the "minimal" set I had planned, that's now turning into two "minimal" sets 😮

Is it possible to have just one Ethos... please tell me they like living alone 🤞🤣
