What did the postman bring?

Got a set of adjustable rings that I'm planning to use to stabilise my takumar 200mm (black lens) and mount on a dovetail with my DSLR.

The rings also came with a 60mm Guidescope and asi120mm-s.  I've told the wife I'm going to sell them on since I only wanted the rings.  Attached view of the neighbours solar panels from the guidecam and 60mm.

I think she believed me lads!

As mentioned in another thread… my CQ Extender came with a 145mm tube (rather than usual 127mm).  So whilst I was able to borrow tube from my FS-60CB, to test on my FC-76DCU, it’s not a long term solution.

So, arrived today from FLO… a replacement 127mm FS60CB tube (usually used to convert from the older and longer FS-60C 👍

Not cheap, but did come with a couple of Tak adaptors, so ultimately worth it. I now have a fully functional FC-76Q 😃

After researching different options for slow motion controls for my Zero, I was ready to give up and wait until I could get the ADM ones from the UK next time I go, but chanced upon an idea: Anodised metal control knobs for audio equipment.

Available in a variety of colours, €11 from a well known online retailer. Unfortunately the red is not quite a match for the WO saddle so I might have to get black instead, but otherwise a good fit, and being a bit smaller they fit the compact nature of the Zero.

Gosh I'd forgotten about this book! I borrowed it many times from the local library in my youth.

Nice - I’m going to have to track a copy of this one down myself I think.

To compliment my Uranometria 2000.0 Deep Sky Atlas All Sky Edition recently bought from FLO a month or so ago, direct from the US of A this morning arrived my Uranometria 2000.0 Deep Sky Field Guide All Sky Edition, which finishes off my star atlas collection nicely.

Not delivered for me, but the wife fired up her cricut and did me a couple of 58mm bahtinov masks for my 200mm takumar f4.  I'm pretty impressed with the thinness of the cut it could achieve.

Just cut out of some fairly stiff card, but I can live with them being essentially disposable lol.

A handy lady to have around, for sure! I have to rely on a 3D printer bloke on eBay

FLO sent me a TS optics 2.5" 1.0x field flattener for my Altair 150edf. Unfortunately they sent the wrong camera side adapter so I can't use it yet. Luckily we're due clouds for the next 7 days 🙄

Nice - would love an update on if the 2inch visual back actually delivers a wider FoV, have seen conflicting reports on this topic.

Delighted to receive Don Machholz’s self published Messier Marathon Observers Guide Handbook & Atlas. Thrilled to find it signed with a personal inscription from the world’s greatest living visual comet hunter! (12 Comets bear his name, one more and he’ll equal Messier himself!)

It’s packed with when / how to see data and finder charts- useful not just for a Messier Marathon but a very practical Messier hunter’s field guide.

The ideal companion to the 10” GSO Dob I am picking up tomorrow!
