Hi all, I've been lurking for a few months and thought it was time I said hello. 

After many years of thinking about it I finally got a telescope a couple of months ago, largely based on advice I read on this site. 

I've definitely got the astrophotography bug; I started taking afocal pictures through the telescope with an iphone and since then I've invested in a DSLR which I recently modded for astro work. I suspect the step up to longer exposures and guiding is going to happen at some point when I save up for a better mount.

I’m really impressed how much info there is on the forums here, hopefully at some point I’ll know what I’m doing enough to contribute!
