Skywatcher focuser motor added to my SW Esprit 100ED, which nicely finishes off my Video Astronomy setup. I have used the HitecAstro DC Focus controller with it. FLO do a bundle pack with the SW focuser and HitecAstro controller, £5 off the pair. The belt still slips off easily to allow quick changes of focus travel. -

I took advantage of the dark sky during the Lunar eclipse to get this picture, my first one. -

Nice one Nick, you wouldn't lose that one in the dark! It would be a bit like owning a Harley Davidson motorcycle though, too much polishing...... Clear Skies, Fondofchips.

'Wenge' finish, popular on loudspeakers, should do the job. It would blend in with the background at a dark site, just don't lose the scope in the dark. Brilliant frac pictures from everyone as always, very nice. Clear Skies. Fondofchips.

Astronomy dealer on Wall Street sells them.....if out of stock try Mount Siani or Mont Blanc. They are really good, if you put them high enough on the wall the wife does not notice the telescope clutter! Clear Skies, Fondofchips.

Shows the new supports, needs some strengthening up but is OK for now. The chain is stopping the runners from spreading out. -
ROR post top good side, this side hasn't warped and is OK.

Still needs more work, I've done the best temporary fix I can for now. Shed builder has suggested cutting the post in two but I want to dig down around the concrete and try and twist it back into place if possible. -
ROR extended runner post top, showing the warped 4" x 4" support post

4" x 4" support post has warped, breaking off the screws that held the original cross beam support on to the support posts. I've been really lucky here as if the support had failed at night the obsy roof would have fallen off at the outer end. Pictures after temporary repair has been carried out. -

First light report here - http://stargazerslounge.com/topic/252050-first-light-with-sw-esprit-100ed-mallincam-extreme/ That's the learning curve slightly less steep than it was.... Cheers, Fondofchips.
