What location is that for Scott?

I looked at CO for Hereford this morning and it looked rather grim :embarassed:

No green on my version yet!!!

Looking at that forecast, I'm not sure if I should spend my remaining SGLX budget on a new eyepiece or extra beer.

Better cover both eventualities.

Not long now.

That's neat ! It took me a month walking around shops with a tape measure to find the airtight sealed lid for a 90mm solar film.

Ended up in the £ shoppost-6974-0-01279300-1426370432_thumb.jp

Sarah and I can't make it this year, I think we went to SGL's 4 to 9. Typical, I miss the one with a partial solar eclipse!! :embarrassed:

Just wanted to wish you all a great time as usual. And happy 10th to SGL

Cheers,

Luke

Well I got here at 11:30 & got all unpacked by around 1:30, I had to unfold the burger van solo although if it were breezy I would have collared someone as it's a task I wouldn't recommend. Looks like I'm on my tod tonight & after looking up skywards I may have to open a bottle or two later.

Phew!!

If you put mustard, and ketchup on the counter you'd probably have more customers. Thinking about it. It would probably be better in containers rather than smeared over the counter

that's good  cos tich is looking really lonely there. It will be nice for him to have a friend. I must admit I don't care what everybody else says about him I think he's quite a decent chap

I'm beginning to wonder if I should change my name to Tichy no mates lmao!!! I've seen Mav turn up earlier so at least that's someone I can annoy later lol :p

In all seriousness I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone & meeting new people, I must admit when I went to one the first time SGL7 I felt a bit nervous at first as I didn't know anyone nor what to expect but I shouldn't have worried as I were made to feel very welcome & I've made some great friends.

My first was last year.

I was very apprehensive about what and who to expect, but no need.

Once I'd ventured out from my big yellow van everyone was friendly enough...

I'm looking forward to this one.

Has anyone bagged M83 from Lucksall? Or know if the horizon makes it possible?

David I have seen M83 from home and I am only a few miles away - so same latitude.

You can get a good view of the southern horizon from Lucksall so if its clear its worth a go -  I just noticed that its you last Messier
