Not at night but an impromptu 5 minutes before leaving my partner to work. FS60Q and Tak 4mm TOE. I'm 95% sure I saw Hadley which seems pretty good to me for a 60mm scope, a dawn sky and an awkward crouch on my knees on cold concrete in my dressing gown :)

Hi everyone! 🙂

Tonight my brand new Altair ASCENT 102ED/1122 F/11 gets its first light. Some optical test, including the start test, shows that it's really Planet Killer. Let's check by looking at Jupiter and Moon tonight using Japanese Genuine Abbe Orthos 9mm (249x) and Fujiyama HD Orthos 7mm (321x). 😎

Seeing is excellent tonight and another GRS transit to enjoy. The glowing stool keeps me warm (psychologically at least ;) ) and i got all the bits now for a tri-finder which is really excellent. Red dot for easy targets like planets and rough aiming, starsense for stuff i can’t easily see but the phone cam can, and raci for fine adjustments/exploring/star hopping :) Weighs about 1kg in all but i already have the offset counterweight to balance it so not a problem.

Summer vacation August 2022.
Had to use the opportunity to make a photo of my rig with fantastic background.

They do amazing work with kids and teens, not just promoting STEM but actively including them in ongoing projects. All along keeping the watchful eye on those pesky, dinosaur pulverizing space pebbles.

Everything was just perfect that night...

Result from just one night, needs more integration.
