To set up or not to set up, that is the question.

Good to see you out and about Ally, thought maybe you'd retired and taken up a sensible hobby like golf or fishing 😂

Setup here four days running in clear blue only  for it to cloud over as soon  as it got dark.

I got the gear out, fiddled for a while (getting both scopes pointing at the same thing)... and.... the sky turns to mush... fantastic... not!  :D

I'll leave it out for a bit, in case the band of cloud passes and leaves a clear spot - but I wont run it past midnight if its not going to clear up properly.

GOLF ? FISHING ? Far too strenuous Dave.

Like I said, I very very rarely get the chance to go up to my dark site. I took the chance tonight and had a very reasonable 2 hours checking in with some 'old friends'. It was marvelous but I seriously underestimated the wind chill. Fortunately that coincided with the clouds rolling in. All in all I'm happy with the outcome.

That's where I find my hip flask comes in handy

Unfortunately hip flasks and driving don't mix in my experience  😳. The drive is only 15 minutes..... but I make up for it when I get home with my 'mate' Jameson 🥃🥃

Same here - possibly tomorrow and Monday nights and the moon is out of the way so some OIII is on the cards.  ATM it's full steam ahead on my ASC and there's a possibility that it might be ready for tomorrow night.  That's if there aren't too many gremlins sitting on the parts and my tools!!
