New Mount Arrived

And so it came to pass that Rupert came from Astrograph even unto that wild country called Bride Valley bringing with him great treasure.

OK, leaving out the fake biblical language, it is, as @Datalord intimated, a beast, that counterweight shaft is 60 mm dia. The long box on top is a 600 mm long shaft to allow for the mass of the ODK12 I have incoming. Good job it came in multiple boxes else we couldn't have got it into my garage. Poor Rupert had a nightmare of a journey down here, not arriving till about 3.30. After running through the differences between this and the DDM60 (Which looks like a toy by comparison) over a much needed coffee, we ended up talking about cameras, filters and whatnot, much to think about.

Rupert really is a brilliant guy, definitely above and beyond.

Congratulations! We're the proud owners of the very last of these magnificent mounts. Even with my beginners problems, I'm so happy about mine. Good luck with it!

Thanks guys, yes DDM mounts are in a different league.

It'll be mid to late September before I get the foundation built for the obsy where it's going, so time to get on top of any differences and sort out the software.

BTW, @Waldemar, I've been looking on the ASA site for the Autoslew manual for absolute encoders, but could only find one for incremental encoders. What should I be looking out for? I do have the latest incremental manual.
