Wow £300?? I thought £50 for my BST starguider 8mm lens was a lot of money LOL

Well, I suppose I don't smoke or drink...

OK then, I don't smoke. And I discount the cost equipment over the years of ownership 🙂

The good thing about astronomy is that you don't have to spend a vast amount on equipment to have a lot of fun. You and I have demonstrated that with our Sky-Watcher Heritage 150p's.

And I've also got a couple of BST Starguider 8mm for my binoviewers. They are nice eyepieces and incredible value.

Things get pricey fast in this hobby!! I think I played it smart and purchased some good quality eyepieces early on and stuck with them(The explorer scientific 82 degree series). This way I don't need to think about upgrading for a good while, only adding to the collection:rolleyes2:

I hope you've had some opportunities to use your new scope and eyepieces! Always good to see people on here happy with their stuff;)

That is very true Jeremy 🙂 They look like fab EPs for sure. The £50 8mm, I have noticed the difference straight away and for what I need, think they will be absolutely fine for a good while. You enjoying the 150p?

Telling me?! 🙂 LOL, I am pleased with the new BST starguider 8mm lens for sure at £50. So much better than the kit lens. Unfortunately not much chance to play as so cloudy here in the UK at the moment 😞

Always liked the sound of this scope. Been waiting a while for it to arrive due to Covid19 disruption. Looking forwards to some darker nights now. :-).

High on my wants list (potentially next month) to give me an additional FOV imaging.

I know how you feel, as I've got the 18mm version of that EP still to try out yet!

Okay , the postman's delivery then required an expedition into the darkest bowels of the bottom shelves of the garage, where there lurks a box, bought in December 1980, which has not seen daylight in at least 25 years....

Behold... it lives....

(the corrector plate looks grubby though...)

I think I know where the other bits are....

I'm after the same ones, plus the 5mm version - when finances permit.😉

I should get some decent Moon pics! Give me something to do whilst waiting for the APO to arrive.

Always wanted an orange tube C8. I did get a black tube starbright coatings one in the end, stunning!. Lets hope the APO will bring good weather with it.

Best Rob

Very nice @Tenor Viol. I too like the 'old skool' Celestron SCT's.
