My new light weight set-up:

WO 81 GT IV with 0.8x reducer/flattener on RST-135 mount on Innorel RT90C tripod controlled by ASI Air Pro, with a celestron powertank battery. Everything was working great, with autoguiding in the 0.4-0.6" RMS range, and I got about 10 two minute images of the Crescent nebula with an L-Enhance filter ... and then it clouded over ☹️

Hope this counts - my indoor setup - sharpcap and a pint an ideal match. Already starting imaging M13 so cannot take a photo of the actual kit at the moment.

What's that behind the pint?

Pot-pourri or a fancy snack?

It does look like a fancy bombay mix - but, i have no idea what it is. May have been pot-pourri at some point although it doesn't smell of anything. It just appeared sometime ago probably when the wife bought some more cushions.

I should get rid of that and replace it with Bombay mix.

Astrophotograpy with beer and nibbles - a perfect evening. 😄

Heresy! 😀

The camping chair is highly recommended too... It looks like mine. A Vango Samson II with a 28st 4lb weight limit... 👊

First session for weeks, and intermittent clouds for all of the hour I was out..only looked at the moon with the binoviewers and FS128 to test the 6 pairs of EPs I've put together to see which suit my setup best..IMG_20220608_231211947.thumb.jpg.f8473d339a58ce57c6d682e0a33fa037.jpg

IMG_20220608_231233093.thumb.jpg.f3b68e93c1e913dd055d80b29fe51ed6.jpg

Eyepiece pairs shown below, consisting of the following,

..from right rear:

Meade 3000 Japan 25mm plossls

WO clones 20mm wide Angle 65 degrees

Kson 16.8mm orthos

..from left rear:

WO clones 12mm 60 degrees

Kson 10.5mm orthos

Baader Classic orthos 6mm

I was able to get all pairs to focus natively using Baader T2 prism and Ultrashort eyepiece clamp into which my Revelation binoviewer was inserted.

Viewing was very limited due to clouds, but each pair was very sharp..I just have to decide which 3 or 4 pairs to keep now!🤔

And it was just lovely to be out with a scope for a while👍😊.

Thanks Steve.

I can totally get why you'd want to be outside with that lovely big 6" apo👍😊..

It did strike me last night just how light the sky still was, even at almost midnight!

Never mind, the nights start drawing in in less than 2 weeks..😁

(If my wife heard me saying that I'd be toast!!😱😁)..
