Hello all, a new member from Alabama here.  I've already been a part of another community for a week or so, so I'll not be bugging ya with any advice on equipment and such.  Just wanted to say hi, and look forward to taking part!  Clear skies!!!

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Nah, I'm pretty much satisfied with the advice and such I have gotten thus far.  Currently we have a pair of 10x50, 16x32 binoculars and 2 sets of 10x binoculars for the kids to enjoy and my wife just ordered a Meade mini Lightbridge 82 for the kids to play and learn on, and I've decided for us we'll be getting a Celestron C90 MAK, a tripod and a zoom eyepiece.  It all fits well within our current budget and the C90 will do anything I want it to do while remaining ultra portable (we kayak, hike, bushcraft, etc).  Once we get settled in for a while I want to get a big 10+" reflector for those nights where I want to go bigger and deeper.  Outside of that I really don't know of any advice I would need, but hey, I'm always wiling to read and consider any advice given.
