Great purchase! Tv85s are excellent grab and go scopes and can show lots of different types of objects really well.

Moonshane, what bino viewer & plumbing did you choose?

I use Baader Maxbrights with a Baader t2 prism. Also used with my Baader cool wedge for white light and a 1.25" nose with my pst mod. All connected with t2 to shorten the optical path.

Oh I normally use a 1.7x glasspath corrector (2.6x with solar)

Ah yes, indeed, the flowers are for my own admittance to the sitting room. It's the nice wooden tripod that does it for the fracs.

Well, i went and picked it up today  from the postal depot,

It's not brand new (but it is to me) and boy am i chuffed with it 

here it is, (might be a while though with this weather before it gets used,)

That's a great setup you have there now Shane but I have to ask what made you go for the equinox when you already had the ED120? I was lead to believe they both possess the same glass and it was the fit and finish of the equinox that demanded the higher price tag? Knowing how stubby my ED120 was I'm guessing those equinox pack down nice and compact with the extendable dew shield retracted? I think is sure is safe to safe you've well and truly caught the refractor bug mate  I have to say I'm liking the whole white / black theme going on. I know scopes are for looking through and not at but I don't think it's a bad thing to have a set up that looks as good as it performs.

one of the main reasons for the swap being :

one less scope in the house = brownie points

one frac for home and away = convenience

potentially I might even convert this to Ha / pst mod too. Then I only have one frac for all things - this is in the balance currently.

Technically I am reducing my refractors so although yes I like them, I have more newts
