You could put it a short distance away from your house on a public place - that way you can give a general location so you and other local astronomers could find out who was nearby.

I live in Torquay in Devon in the UK and on Tuesday my Skywatcher 127 Supa Trak Maksutov arrived and am excited about using it but have not used it yet as its been very cloudy this week. Does anyone have this telescope and what's it like viewing the moon and Jupiter through it!
