Hello all!)

I see this corona hooked a lot of people into astronomy😄 I am one of them! Watched a lot of documentaries and wanted to see it with my own eyes. When saw Saturn for the first time both me and my husband were jumping like kids!🤪

I have Bresser Taurus refractor 900/90 and it took a while of research for me to find something affordable but at the same time capable for something.

But! After having it for a while i tell you Netherlands is not the best country for this hobby😅 its "low lands" you see) and of course a lot of clouds. I did not think about weather conditions at all.. But we do not give up and rare but rewarded with nice photos of moon and even some of Saturn (Im using camera on the telescope as well) and now Im aiming to finally see nebula. Also today i got deep sky camera, not so great, but will see)

I have already asked a question here and you've been so helpful and quick!) thank you so much)

Welcome Marta on SGL from Sardinia. It is true that the oceanic climate of Holland does not suit those who are passionate about astronomy, at least you do not have the problem of prolonged droughts during which at least the taps are turned off at night; the Mediterranean climate is beautiful for the sun and the beautiful days, but ... .... I can tell you that last month and these days of June it is raining here too, a strange end of spring (already in May it rains little and practically nothing in summer); I usually look at the Sun after lunch but for some days it has been having the usual afternoon thunderstorm, so telescope inside and solar filter in the box!
