I know where you're coming from. Came out of the house at 0615 this morning and had a lovely view of the planets and moon with Leo as a backdrop. As the day has progressed the sky is clear and blue as well as containing that odd glowing thing you have captured in you're image. I am sure someone will be along shortly to identify it

That's easy, it's just light pollution from the farm at the back of the hill.

My guess: monster security light triggered by a crawling beetle.

(This being the only security light with a documented track record of reducing crime.)

Not seen anything like it for a long time. I have a distant memory of seeing something like it but can't quite place it.

Don`t get used to it guys or admire it, it will soon disappear and be replaced by all that we love and know so well, cloud, accompanied by Gales, rain, fog, with snow and ice to come, no doubt

I know what the things are on the right hand side are alright: they are called clouds, and we have constantly great views of them in Ireland.

The big bright yellowish thing on the left - no idea what that is, sorry.

It's such a strange, and very powerfully illuminated thing, 

I thought the UFO Fraternity would be all over it.

Might have scared me to death if I had seen it, but Alas, it never reached my area.

It probably dived back into the Ocean somewhere.

I saw it once about 4 months ago in what we call summer round here. It's still blumming freezing up here in the North East though!

It wasn't there at 2:30am just lots of tiny points of light, some brighter than others!

We often get weird sights of the sun on its going down, different shapes, halos, etc. Think the sun is a big joker!!

Yeah, it's rising some more ... We're under that yellow/red stuff somewhere...

Atlone town is currently experiencing much local flooding and the Shannon there is at its highest level for yrs.

I thought we were in for a change yesterday evening, just after sunset the sky started to clear and we had some red sky at night and all that.  

Proved to be a false dusk...
