Maxvision 40mm unboxing - or should I say Lenzilla!

Here are some unboxing pics of my 40mm Maxvision for anyone whos interested in this lens but like me struggled to quantify the size of the thing before ordering. As you can see I have included the ubiquitous can of beans for scale :)

Needless to say the cloud is very thick tonight.

Ps I've given it the apt name of Lenzilla!

It is a shocker. Mine made the ES82 30mm look small, although they're not too different in weight. It still feels like you put your face, rather than your eye into it, but I find it very comfortable.

Itook this for those wondering how it looks compared to the rest of the ES MV/Meade clones:

Don't forget that if it had a Meade green band wrapped around it the price tag was about 265 quid, I had one and amost gave it away because of these. I wonder if the quality control is the same though, not something that you are ever really going to be able to find out and I have not heard any complaints of them.
