Exciting stuff !

Looks pretty much vertical as well.

I wonder who will get the short straw for the first to approach the landed spaceship ?

Not for quite a few hours I would think !

I imagine they'd not want to hang around too long before stabilising it.  A freak gust of wind could do a lot of damage, I'd have thought.  I'd love to hang around and watch what happens next, but I need some sleep :)

They have a robotic dog called Zeus whose job it is to go in first to make sure the area is safe.

It even has its own kennel.

Zeus looks like one of these not that expensive either in the grand scheme of things..

That's exactly what it is.

I think that they are very versatile and are being developed by SpaceX for the first missions to Mars.

...and for police usage (and probably military, behind the scenes)

I did once manage to coincide the families holiday in Florida with a shuttle launch and saw that and yes the nosise is the thing that sticks in my mind 🙂

Brilliant - I have been many times to Florida but always on business and never got to see a launch 😔

I saw a Falcon 9 launch in 2017 from KSC. It was great to see something actually go up into space but it was quite a calm affair we thought. Not as dramatic as a shuttle launch I would think. I'd like to see one of the heavy lifters go up though :icon_biggrin:

At the rate they are launching, you will probably soon be unlucky if you don’t see one during a two week break! It’s certainly on my list to do before I pop off... 🤣
