Ok, it doesn't light up but tbh, I don't need it to!

What do we have here then? Open box for a few hundred quid off...logical that the weather is pants for the foreseeable! If the weather ever clears up hope to get this up and  running soon and will compare to my Rainbow Astro RST-135.

I've been looking at buying a cheap chair so I can sit comfortably when observing and managed to find a cheap used ironing chair.  very comfortable could do with being a bit higher by a couple of inches..

Have to wait for a clear sky to try it out.

Nah. I had the original, lighter version which broke - my own fault for tilting it. The second has been fine but the small seat made it a bit uncomfortable for long sessions. The great advantage, apart from its adjustability, is that you can carry it over your shoulder and you don't even know it's there.

I need to find something at some point.

Decided my solar white light filters had seen better days and so Flo sent me a well packed BaaderA4 sheet of film. Flo was right it did ‘Contain Clouds’ and it has been raining off and on in Lowestoft since it’s arrival.

Had this a while, but did not post, because there was a problem. Bought me by someone else, ( not family, ) all I needed to add was the footrest, so very reasonable...

As I posted elsewhere, the foot of the seat punched through the box, because I suspect, the chair was free to slide about in the box, so all it would have taken is a sharp break by Mr. DPD and Bob's your uncle! One of the rubber feet was missing, probably in the back of his van! FLO is on the case as they always are, very thorough, a new one is on the way. No other damage elsewhere, so asked FLO, then a quick running repair with a little foam strip and some conforming bandage, ( ? ) good to go short term!

I have to say, it is very comfortable and a vast improvement over the plastic chair I was using.

That's a great book Jeremy, I've had mine for ages and was happy with it until I saw your post. Alas mine is the 99 object edition, and now I'm wondering what I'm missing with not having the new 10 objects!  😒.
