Hi SGL'ers...here's the results of what appeared to be rotten seeing forecasts this week just gone: 130km/h Jetstream both night but we took a break from our travelling/recreation to drop into Carrieton for these 2 nights...after some waiting the seeing rose enough to capture some fairly decent data each night...here's our results. :)

Another wonderful set of images - thanks for posting.

Quick check on Stellarium suggests that in 2032 Saturn will be at 61deg here in the UK. By that time I might have saved enough for a C14.... but probably wont be able to lift it!

Thanks Angie - we got to have a feel for lower elevations again the other night...although Jove has been slowly climbing these last couple of years down South & like I said "what goes round comes round." ;)

Now well past opposition (8+ weeks) it seems that this planet prefers to be imaged on the descending arc - finished 3 nights of "so-so" conditions with one at 45°, which I'll post sometime soon...

Jove has taken on quite a russet colouration in the last week...quite dramatic & these hues are echoed in other folks recent images also! :)
