SGLXII Pitch Allocations - 7th September 2016

Hi all,

I've had the pitch allocations so far back from Lucksall - these as always are provisional so you could get moved nearer the time depending on pitch conditions etc...

If you are expecting your name to be above and it isn't, please let me know and I will double check but everyone who has booked so far should have a pitch above.

If you would like to change your pitch at all, then the best thing to do is to give Lucksall a call - they have tried to match everybody up to their requested pitch but as sometimes multiple people want the same pitch that has not always been possible.

There are still plenty of pitches left if anybody would like to join us - please make your booking via the FLO website: https://www.firstlightoptics.com/sglxii-booking/sgl12-pitch-booking.html

Food bookings can be done until the beginning of October when we will need to confirm numbers:

https://www.firstlightoptics.com/sglxii-booking/sgl12-food-friday-curry.html

https://www.firstlightoptics.com/sglxii-booking/sgl12-food-saturday-hogroast.html

There are also still two pods left - the beach hut and the pavilion - please book these directly with Lucksall: http://www.lucksallpark.co.uk/

Cheers,

Grant

Thanks, Grant. Looking forward to it. Now I will start organising a hired motorcaravan as I sold mine a few weeks ago - it hadn't been off the drive since SGLXI and was starting to look a bit more than decrepit.

Definitely get one with RCD. If buying one then 10m minimum I'd say but 25m better as sometimes you'll be further away.

Check Maplins, they have good ones with build in RCD and they wind up. Quite often have offers on them. Good time to get one as most camping places have sales, now that the camping "season" has ended. As Shane says, get a reasonably long one

A 10 meter hey cable should be ok.  A 25 meter one will work great and there will be lots tr spare cable - don't coil that cable up in case it gets hot and melts the insulation (won't happen if the cable isn't coiled up).   Having an rcd is also a must have for safety.

I already have a 25mm EHU but it doesn't have an RCD. Does anyone know where I can get an RCD unit to attach to the cable I have?

Note to Mods: This discussion about EHUs might be better moved to SGL XII Chit-Chat?
