re the no international bids, it is always worthwhile to politely ask the seller.  Often I've asked and they have been happy.

A word of caution though, the seller may have to alter the setting to accept international bids so don't assume that their ok is enough for the system

- I have been caught that way.

If anyone is seriously interested though and international bids aren't accepted, I'm happy to bid on your behalf.  But from the sounds of it I don't think that the seller is that concerned.
