Hello everybody!

I'm a 62 year old granny with a new hobby: I inherited a teleskope ;) It's a 750 mm Skywatcher with EQ5 Mount and SkyScan and SynGuider  - and a lot of pieces I have to learn about. Only thing I already found out is how to connect my Nikon D3200 to it - and where.

As a complete newbie I'll most likely are going to read not to comment. And maybe a question or two....I promise not to nag.

English isn't my mother tongue but I'll manage. Hopefully you do understand me ;)

Hasta luego,

Sabina

Hi Sabina,

welcome to the lounge! Ask anything you like. Our friendly members leave no question unanswered.

If you haven't already done so, download Stellarium. It's a very useful planetarium program (and free too).

What Ruud said! Greetings and have no fear of asking questions - we love helping new folks find their way to the stars!

Regards Stellarium - please do download a copy! Similar software-programs can cost several hundred £'s. This is FREE:

It takes awhile to download due to it's size. So wait until you have a bit of free time to load it. And to set-up may take you anywhere from 10 minutes to 10 days - depending on what you wish to do! Did I mention it's big? So here's the link:

http://www.stellarium.org/

And here's a pdf. user's guide:

http://barry.sarcasm...r_guide-new.pdf

And the revised online guide, it's under constant revision as more and more functions are added and updated, is here:

http://www.stellariu...rium_User_Guide

Now you'll be well on your way!

Clear skies -

Dave
