Hi Paul, and welcome.

If the weather prohibits stargazing then interacting with like minded people,

,

on these forums, is the next best thing. You will always find the answer to your question,

but if you don't have a question, just enjoy the wit and humour!

some evenings i have cried with laughter.

My wife thinks I am barmy of course.

Based in the lower Bann Valley at Portglenone. Have just acquired on Saturday a Skywatcher 250PX, so excited. I have been using 10x50 binoculars for years and a Meade 4.5" newt (which is about to be donated to my neices).

Ahh, I just curious as i am originally from Portstewart. That's a good sized scope, is it solid or flextube? Enjoy!

Hi Paul & Welcome to SGL.  It's a great place to be plenty of information & advice to be had from the experts.  You're not too far from me maybe 50 miles.  Hope you enjoy your new scope.
