Saturday night - looks like it might be clear here (Warks). So do I cancel my pub night out and start setting up now or postpone any viewing till afterwards?

Previous experience tells me beer & astronomy don't mix!

Clearing up here later allegedly, joining a few of our group out Leonid spotting, camping chair and flask of hot choc at the ready. The pub can wait until next weekend - work on Sunday morning has an effect on that decision mind you

Norfolk's cloudy, though the low cloud does reflect nicely the orange light pollution of Norwich

clearing here not brilliant but going give it an hour and try scopes out cooling just in case and going try Moore marathon especially binocular objects as they should be easier see.

Clear at the moment, set up this afternoon. Temp dropping fast . Hoping to spend time with Jupiter and have a look around Orion and hopefully spot a few Leonids.

Whoohooo broke my viewing duck. Ok only got 20 mins cos out at a party ( what a pooper i am being here) but I had a good view at a star called Capella. Wasnt brilliant, but out of back garden with more light from adjacent hotel than the illuminations at blackpool, i was more than happy. Anyway, will find out a little more about what i saw later. Best thing about it was my telrad (recently purchased) worked fantastically. Clear skies guys :-) Steve

Its clear in NE Derbyshire (near Chesterfield), currently doing 4 min subs on both bits of the Veil... there are a few pesky clouds about though.

Was supposed to be clear until gone midnight here, but still quite cloudy and the forecast has changed (why does it change *after* I already know what the weather is going to be?). Perhaps a bit of clear sky later, it says.

Looked out earlier and while I could make out Jupiter and brighter stars, there was a pretty bad haze. It seems to have cleared up a bit, but I can still make out patchy wisps. Looking at the satellite images, there's a band of cloud over the country diagonally, moving SE-ish so it will past at some time... but how late would it be?
