  1. Cheers Danny, so I also see it's set as Local on the Pi. Would I then set it as Remote on my Mac ?
  2. Hi all, I've managed to get my Pi4 started with astroberry and linked to my Mac via direct ethernet cable. Not tested yet with mount connections. One thing was that the INDIserver panel didn't show up so couldn't select drivers. Does KStars/Ekos on the Pi now control that? Also, with Ekos do you set it on the Pi as Local or Remote or on my Mac as Local or Remote?
  3. Lovely shot, some good detail showing.
  4. Lovely detail and an interesting colour option. A little star reduction wouldn't hurt just to throw them to the background a bit.
  5. Excellent results, I'd love to see what you can do with better seeing.
  6. A very good result for such poor conditions.
  7. If thats just the basics then with more data and a more in depth process it's going to be a beaut.
  8. I can sort of see a birds head but it looks like it has a bats wing ! Lovely close up.
  9. Yup, that's close. Looks really good. Processing couldn't have been easy.
  10. Personally I would stick with the DSLR for practice and save up for a better cooled camera. If you get a CMOS OSC then the Optolong L-Xtreme would be a good filter for NB.
  11. You could always add a little weight to the scope or drill holes in the weight to make it lighter.
  12. Had a similar situation with my Wizard Nebula where there wasn't really much room to pick background for DBE. I'd already done a Linear Fit using Ha as my baseline and found that there weren't any real gradients to remove at all when I tried ABE, in fact it made it worse !!! So I ended up not doing either.
  13. Interesting design, doesn't look as compact as the Williams Optics version but if it's built well it should work fine. The only "weak" looking parts are the threaded blocks for the adjustment bolts.
  14. Cut and splice in an extra length ?
  15. If you can move the scope rings further back on the dovetail bar so that more of the bar is to the front then I would put the hub underneath at the front.
  16. That could work, main thing is to have as few dangling cables as possible so if the hub moves with the scope it's much better.
  17. Excellent once again. Loving the thick creamy choccy swirls. Ps. Flip the first image to see the mushroom better.
  18. Lovely image Gorann, well done. Like the cable trick.
  19. I think with stars radiating out at the edge it could be your back focus is a tad short.
  20. Excellent image, some lovely detail showing.
  21. Lovely image and a nicely captured Perseid. I don't think is't too over exposed at all.
  22. Ooooooohhhh! There some very nice formations showing.
