    I have considered the filter as well, its never going to be as good as a Ca-K scope. I would like try one though.

    I did my first white lights of the year yesterday as well, the conditions were YUUK! At least you got a nice sharp disc, with the spots visible.

    Certainly better than this afternoon. I did some white light images earlier in the day and it was grim! So i wasn't expecting much to be honest. The comforting thing is that i have seen a few images from the same night online that show similar detail. So at least i know its not artifacts from my processing 🙂

    Some really nice detail visible on Saturday afternoon on Venus. the usual set up of Celestron C9.25, Asi290mm, Televue x1.8 Barlow and Baader UV filter. 25,000 frames captured, stacked 25%.
