  1. The concentric rings are referred to as "newton rings" and are widely experienced, but curable. https://brierleyhillsolar.blogspot.com/2016/11/a-review-of-solutions-to-newtons-rings.html I used a 2nd hand eq1mfor a while, that only tracked in RA, which worked reasonably OK. No extra filters required, unless you fancy double stacking your scope
  2. My explore scientific is the same, I just try to ignore the stars and concentrate on the gas.

  11. The only reason used it was because my 742 was in my filter wheel, just a bit lazy The 807 is normally saved for really poor conditions
  12. For sure, i planned Venus and Uranus imaging, then some observation. The clouds soon altered that plan
  13. I managed some decent imaging runs on Venus into dusk, then Uranus during darkness. I could see the cloud approaching though, packed just before it completely clouded over!
  14. Venus is now at a very respectable altitude, plus some lovely clear skies. Perfect conditions (hopefully) to begin imaging it again. Both images with Celestron C9.25, Asi290mm, Televue x1.8 Barlow and Baader UV filter. 25,000 frames captured, stacked 10%. Last image is with a Astronomik 807 filter. Some nice detail visible on both days, particularly Saturday afternoon. It looks clearly like rotation visible to me over the 2 days? Saturday 18.01.2020 Baader UV filter Sunday 19.01.2020 Baader UV filter Sunday 19.01.2020 Astronomik 807 filter
  15. The phase is clearly showing, very well captured!
  16. The phase is showing very nicely, well captured and reported.
  17. A beautiful image, excellent capture
  18. Congratulations Again, its a fine image
  19. Nice set of images as reward for braving the conditions!
  20. What shocking news Avani, deepest sympathies for all involved. Good see you back on here again.
  21. No crime here, other than making me jealous of the level detail in the rest of the image
  22. Very nice disc, lovely filament visible
