Hi gazers, here is a shot I took the other night with the 20D and Leica lens. I was amazed at the nebulosity in this image, sadly I couldn't show it all as it made the final image too noisy, but I will get some longer (guided!) images at the next opportunity.

Modified 20D, Leitz Telyt 180mm/f3.4 apo, Vixen GP (unguided), Astronomik CLS clip filter, combination of 180s, 30s and 4s exposures at ISO1600

Cheers Mike, I think the Leitz is the star of the show though. I'd love to see what it could do with a modified 1D/5D. I've just got an adaptor to mate it with the SXV-H9 too.

Yes, nice piece of glass certainly but you do get great results with the 20D ...look forward to more.

Have you got a close up crop of the corners as it would be nice to see how good this lens is, i am looking at buying lenses at the moment and although the back focus of your lens will prohibit a filter wheel it is still worth looking at i think

Wonderful shot, stunning, and with such (relatively) short exposures. I can only dream of what the 20D would pick up in 10 mins subs, be well worth a go!
