Sorry Francis, I am confused.......
what is such a thing as a 'tight leash' when it comes to your 'flexible friend'? 🤣

Well it means I'm to be kept under control at all times, don't look through anything, don't pick anything up with a price tag, don't talk to sales men(and ladies). I'm allowed coffee and a cake though...

So ticket purchase is open for the IAS.
Who is going and when?

Went to last years on the Friday, think I'll be going this year too, but Saturday this time.  Not going for the lectures, purely window shopping!

Have just bought myself a new mount, so won't be tempted!

I hope to be there on the Saturday. Last year I didn't intend to buy anything and luckily I came away with my wallet intact. This year I've got a few things I'm interested in and anything could happen!

I'm probably going, probably on the Saturday. - (decisive aren't I?!)

Okay, your post has prompted me to look at the website.  I've now booked for general entry + the talks by Patrick Gilliland and by Prof Hilary Downes.

I think I might go on the Saturday, but even leaving at 8 o/c (And getting away on time always proves impossible for me. *something* always delays) I won't make Patrick's lecture given the 3 1/2 hour journey (Realistically 4 hours with breaks), so may just go for general entry.
