switching forums?

hi all; I've been a member of another astro forum for about a year now and it's been great but I get the impression that the traffic on sgl is a little heavier and the atmosphere maybe a little lighter. So, my question is, are astro forums like football and religion - ie you have to stick with your first choice, or are they more like marriage................

Can't answer your question - 35th wedding anniversary coming up :angry: but I do know this forum is the friendliest. I lurked on several for a few months before joining and have not regretted it.

Hopefully you'll want to stay, but enjoy anyway.

I was a member of Popastro (I think that is what it is called) but I found it a little heavy sometimes.

I was also recommended this forum by a very well known retailer when I was considering purchasing my Explorer 200.

Never looked back.

Hi Dan, and welcome to SGL.

Apart from specific 'yahoo user groups' (e.g. Starlight Express, Astroart etc, etc) I frequent ony two astro forums, this one and UKAI.

However, I spend the vast majority of my forum time here on SGL.
