I would suspect this may have been created for a young female observer and if that is what it takes to encourage the next generation to get off the couch and out under the stars, well fine. Would have fit in unnoticed during the late '60s.

I pimped my scope when I was a lad, it was great fun, it was astro related so it all counted as doing my hobby..
