First nice Jupiter! 11.11.12

I took this last night / this morning at 1am. My, what an improvement since my first attempt! I am well chuffed!

Equipment used: Celestron 6se, 2X barlow and Phillips spc900, through Sharpcap and then processed with Registax 5.1

I also attach my first attempt, for a comparison! Practice definitely makes better! Still, constructive criticism welcome! Do you think I could get even better? Weather conditions were not amazing, got a lucky few minutes window of relative stability.

Thanks for watching, Anne

Thanks all, indeed I am so very pleased!! And happy and proud if my lil' effort gives hope and encouragement to others!

Also I got AS!2 last night just to try and I reprocessed the avi, and I got... Io & Callisto! Oh my!

Io (furthest left) was just about visible on the avi, but definitely not Callisto, I am plain amazed! Yippee! :p

:icon_salut: Very nice indeed Anne - especially with a modest-sized scope!

I hope you don't mind but this image (I just chose your first) can have quite a bit more squeezed out of it.....a bit or upscaling, some "Smart Sharpen" and "Auto Colour" a "Fade" - maybe a tad overdone but you get the idea...
